Battery Holder — Strap Style
You know the tabs. The fiddly little tabs on the original holder that make every battery swap more annoying than it needs to be. Gone. This holder secures the pack with a printed TPU strap instead — drop the battery in, strap it down, done. Faster swaps, less adjusting, nothing to fight.
The holder itself is also a tighter fit than the original, so the pack sits exactly where you put it — no shifting, no slop.
You lose nothing on adjustability. Three versions are included in the file, each placing the battery further forward or back — and combined with the chassis screw positions, that gives you basically the full adjustment range of the original holder. Battery placement stays a setup tool: move the weight, change the balance.
And because battery holders live a hard life and break often, being able to print a fresh one whenever you need it is the quiet second win — unlimited prints for your own cars are included in the license.
Tested with GensAce Redline and Coyote packs; the fit is snug by design, and most standard packs should fit fine.
Fitment & install
Fully 3D printed, including the strap (recommended: good quality, dried 95A TPU). All you add is M3 button head screws and spacers under the button for it to sit perfect with your battery height.
A note on printing
Print the holder rigid and the strap in 95A TPU — the strap needs the flex, the holder doesn't. Beyond that, standard functional-part rules: durability depends on your filament, settings, and printer.
